What the heck is Detroit-style pizza anyway?

Detroit-style pizza is a riff on traditional Sicilian style pizza; basically it’s thick and airy crust (kind of like focaccia) that’s cooked in a square pan with some oil on the bottom and cheese on the edges that make it nice and crispy. Our pizza is a further riff on this style, with slow fermented dough, custom sauces, and fresh toppings from our local markets.

How many servings per pizza?

Our crust is thick, our sauces are rich, and we load em full of toppings. Our average customer says two slices fill them up, our more dainty eaters are stuffed after one, and if you’ve got the munchies– you might need three pieces. So that means about two-three servings per pie.

I’m confused by your location! Where can I find you?

We are located inside of Sante Adairius Rustic Ales Portal at 1315 Water St. in Santa Cruz (in between the Safeway and Thrift Center). If you’re at Sante’s other location (on Kennedy St. in Capitola), treat yourself to some great beer, but you won’t find our pizzas there.

I can’t figure out how to order beer on your website… help!

Do you have outdoor seating?

Yes! We have a small patio that accommodates around 15 people.  

Where can I park?

We have a small lot located in between Sante and Thrift Center. There’s also lots of street parking on Water St. and Poplar Ave.

What about my bike?

We’ve got a bike rack inside– just to the right of the main entrance on the wall.

Are kids and pets allowed?

Yes and yes!

Not at this time.

Do you accept reservations?

Nope, walk-ins only. 

Do you sell gift cards?

Yup, you can buy one here. 

Can I buy out the brewery for a special event? Will you cater an event offsite?
